Fast food preferences vary from state to state. Whether people are searching for their local pizza restaurant or trying to find their favorite burger joint’s menu, each area has their own favorites.

HowToCook.recipes, a recipe website, looked at Google Trends data to see which popular fast food chain is the most searched in each state. The results may surprise you!

Domino’s was the most popular chain in the most states, as it was the most-searched in 30 different states. The company had more than $16.1 billion in global retail sales in 2020. The next most-searched fast food place was McDonald’s, popular in 13 different states including New York.

After McDonald’s is Taco Bell, which is the most-searched fast food restaurant in five different states including Hawaii and Alaska. Last on the list is Chick-fil-A, which is the most-searched in Georgia (where the restaurant is headquartered) and Maryland.
